Gaufest 2007at Hershey Pennsylvania  In June, we attended the biggest Gaufest of the North American Gau to date.  We performed, and partied with about 2400 attendees from the Europe, Canada and the US.  Link to Gaufest 2007 Memories Page

We have been working on completing our first CD this spring and summer.  Named:   because it is a studio recording of what we perform in person, with very little studio magic to change it, the CD will be very true to what you hear when attending one of our performances.  Included, will be guest performances by Freddie’s mom, and our very talented children Maria and Nikolaus.  The CD is available now.  Please ask at any performance.  Click here to watch our CD Release Party Movie.

During the summer break, Ron hiked in the mountains of Tirol, and made music in the Stubaital, performing for alpine hikers and livestock (and getting new songs for Scha-Musi) with Andreas Almberger at the Stöcklen Alm (1600m)...playing ‘til the cows come home!!

Ron will serenade just about anybody!

Nick checks out a Mittenwalder Violin at Anton Sprenger’s.  He and dad are invited to jam with Anton and the Gries Hoppers at a bluegrass get together...yes, in Mittenwald!

Our appearance at this year’s rainsoaked Hartford Sängerbund Bierfest is already behind us, and the very busy Oktoberfest season (die fünfte Saison) is upon us.  This year, we added a performance at the New Britain Rock Cats Baseball Octoberfest, will once again be marching down Fifth Avenue for New York City’s Steuben Day Parade (weather permitting, with our instruments), and making the trip upstate to New York’s own Olympic village at Lake Placid, with Die Schlauberger, to perform at the Whiteface Mountain Oktoberfest (we’re hoping for beautiful Indian summer weather like last year, but Lake Placid is in the beautiful Adirondack mountains, so long johns are recommended, just in case!).

Then, we will be joining the Alpenland Tänzer and King Ludwig’s Bavaria Band at Gunstock, New Hampshire ski area for their big two-day Octoberfest.  In between these major fests, we will be performing at events all over Connecticut and points beyond, and putting folks into a Schnitzel and Weißbier kind of mood.  Please see our schedule for the latest performance dates and details!

HOAM !
